Update: Sadly, due to adverse weather this trip has been CANCELLED.
On Sunday 16th Febuary we will be heading to Berrow Dunes to work on the reserve by the beach. We have not been for quite a few years so this is a good opportunity to discover somewhere new.
We will set off from Bristol in the morning and will be out for the whole day helping the council by building sand fencing and cutting some sea buckthorn from within the fixed dunes to weave into the fencing.
If you have a car and are willing to drive on the trip, let us know and you can be reimbursed for petrol. Sign ups for this trip are now open but spaces are limited so please let us know by email if you would like to come along.

Our first two trips of the year will be Give-it-a-Go taster trips on Sunday 6th and 13th October. We will be heading to the university-owned woodland of Providence Plantation which we help to manage. On both days we will meet at 10 am at the Students’ Union and 10:30 am at Bristol Bus & Coach Station. You do not need to be a member to come along just email to let us know if you would like to take part.
We will be going on our annual residential trip to Anglesey from Sunday 15th September to Thursday 19th September. We will be staying at the Anglesey Guide Centre while doing some great conservation work at the Cors Goch National Nature Reserve run by the North Wales Wildlife Trust. The cost of the trip is expected to be about £85 for accommodation and transport.
This is always a highlight of the year. It is great fun and a chance to see a beautiful corner of the country.
If you would like to go please email our presidents, Laura and Laura. If you are prepared to be a driver for the trip please let us know (you will be reimbursed for fuel).
We are also looking into extending this trip to include the preceeding four days (from Wednesday 11th to Sunday 15th) in Cheshire before we head straight to Anglesey. There may be limited numbers for this trip so again let us know if you are interested and names may have to be chosen at random if this part of the trip is oversubscribed.
