Update: Despite a bit of rain we had an enjoyable time clearing scrub to make way for limestone grassland in what was some of the last of the warm weather. The site at the top of the hill had great view over the Somerset Levels. We took advantage of the bonfire be used to burn the cut scrub to toast some marshmallow (we even used the pitchfork as a makeshift toasting stick for four at a time).
On Sunday 2nd November we will be going to Middlehill Common near Portishead where we will be doing some scrub clearance.
