Update: We cleared a reasonable area and had a tour of the woodland (including seeing some farm animals in a nearby garden and swinging on a rope swing). It was good last trip of the term.
The last trip before Christmas will be to Providence Plantation on Sunday 14th December. We will be scrub clearing to create space for a butterfly glade and undertaking path maintenance.
Providence Plantation is a piece of woodland owned by the University just outside of Bristol. It is an ongoing project for BUCG and UBU.
To get the we will be travelling by bus from Bristol bus station so be sure to bring money for the bus fare. A student day ticket is £2.80 (£4 without discount). The event itself is free. Please email Jess by 5pm on Tuesday 9th December if you would like to come along. (Note that you must be a member of BUCG to attend this trip. You can join at our UBU page. It’s only £5 for the year!) If the trip becomes oversubscribed names will be picked at random from a hat.
