We will be holding our Annual General Meeting on the at 5pm on Friday 4th May at the King’s Arms on Whiteladie’s Road (the date and location are subject to possible change). This is your chance to have a say in the running of your society, vote on the next year’s comitte members and to stand for any of the comittee positions.
Being on the BUCG comittee is a great opportunity to contribute to your society, have fun, and looks good on your CV (particularly if you’re aiming for a career in environmental work). Even if you are not going to stand for a position, do come along to vote and enjoy a few drinks and free nibbles together at one of our last events of the year.
You can also submit am mostion to change the consitution, which will be voted on at the AGM. If you would like to propose a costintuitional adment anr/or run for a a committee position please email Heather, though you can always do so on the day. If you stand for a comittee position you will be asked to give a small speech to promote yourself (don’t worry, it is very casual and needn’t be long).
These are the committee positions available: president; vice president; treasurer; tools and saftery officer (x2); secretary; social secretary (x2); webmaster; Providence Plantation officer (x2).
