We are holding a social at the Union Baloon Bar on Thursday 23rd March at 7:00pm. We plan to grab some drinks and do some conservation-themed colouring to de-stress in the last few weeks before term ends. There will also be the opportunity to draw and submit a design for the new logo for this years conservation T-shirts if you want to!

It is a lovely mixed woodland site with a limestone grassland in the middle. We will be doing some scrub clearance then burning all the material on a bonfire (perfect for toasting plenty of marshmallows and donuts).
If you would like to come please email Ollie by 7:30pm on Wednesday 1st March. As usual, if the trip is oversubscribed we will pick names out of a hat. If you do not get a place you will be guaranteed one on the next trip you sign up to.
We will be returning to Providence Plantation on Sunday 19th February. The plan is to finish preparing the butterfly glade to be seeded with wildflowers in April. This will involve some dead hedging, root removal, and possibly scrub bashing if there are enough of us.

On Wednesday 23rd November we will be holding an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to elect our new Providence Plantation officer. This will take place at The Kings Arms on Whiteladies Road at 7pm.
The role is in being in charge of directing the management of Providence Platation – the piece of university owned woodland near Long Ashton that we look after. This involves planning the work we do there and liaising with the university where necessary to form an action plan. Also, as part of the committee and get to have a say in the running of BUCG. If you would like to run for the position please email Ollie by 11pm on Tuesday 22nd November.
Guaranteed to be far more cheerful than certain other recent elections, these meetings are very relaxed affairs open to all members. Come cast your vote and have a chat.
