Welcome Fair

Now the summer is over it is time for Welcome Week (i.e. Freshers’ Week) to herald the new academic year – one that is, as always, sure to be packed with Conservation fun. We will be at our stall at the Welcome Fair at the Harbourside on Friday 25th September, 11am – 5pm.

Whether a Fresher or a returning student, be sure to pay us a visit there and sign up to our mailing list; we will happily answer any queries you have and let you know why BUCG is a great group to join. Membership is available on our UBU page for only £5.

UBU Inter-Society Pub Quiz

Update: While we didn’t win, or come in the top ten teams we certainly did not do badly and most importantly we had fun. We ended up with two teams (one for each mascot – Molly and Fernando). Among the prizes we got to choose were duct tape and WD40 – both useful for our tools!

On Monday 15th December at 7:30 pm in the Anson rooms at the Union, UBU will be holding its annual inter-society pub quiz and BUCG are taking part!. Feel free to join us – the more people we have a the better the chance we have at winning! If there are lots of people we can split into separate teams (each society can have as many as they like).

It is £1 to enter and there will be free pizza! If you plan on coming please say so on the Facebook page so they can estimate how much pizza to order – it would be tragic if there was a pizza shortage!

Volunteering Fair

Update: Thanks to all those who paid us a visit at the Fair. Almost 100 more of you signed up to our mailing list and we hope to see you on upcoming trips. Overall a successful evening.

If you missed us at the Welcome Fair why not drop by and meet us at our stall at the Volunteering Fair? This Fair takes place at the Anson Rooms on Thursday 2nd October at 5:30-7:30pm. We’ll be on hand to answer your questions and add you to the mailing list if your interested in joining.
